Laura Scheening, RN, BSN, CLS

Owner/Registered Nurse

I am a registered nurse who has been serving Grand County community for over ten years. I opened Grand Med Spa to offer residents the opportunity to have aesthetic services without the hassle of driving all the way to Denver. I curated my list of services based on research, client satisfaction and popularity of nonsurgical aesthetic procedures. I received my nursing education at Front Range Community college, graduating with an ADN in 2012. After a few years of working in a rural clinic, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, and emergency department, I continued my education at University of Northern Colorado, completing my BSN in 2016. I continued to live and work in Grand County, providing nursing care in the clinical setting, as a public health nurse, emergency room care, and surgical services. After a few years of contemplating where I wanted my nursing career to go, I started studying and completing my aesthetic nurse training and I fell in love with the aesthetic industry. I became certified through Aesthetic Medical Educators Training (AMET) to administer botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. I also attended the Rocky Mountain Laser College where I became a Certified Laser Specialist (CLS). I furthered my education by attending Lash and Company and became certified in dermaplane, chemical peels, and microneedling. I am excited to share my knowledge and honored to be apart of your journey to a healthier you.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I adore being a dog mom and like to go for hikes, four wheeling rides and camping with my husband and the munchkins. I also enjoy snow biking and dirt biking in this beautiful place we call home.
